The Maurice Hawk "Not Just Art" Auction

You've received the Maurice Hawk Art Auction Gala invite from the PTA.....
You've heard from your child about the project they did in school.......
You've seen some of the artwork on our blog......

And now you can read about the "Not Just Art" portion of the Art Auction!  Come out for an evening of fun and support Maurice Hawk School by attending the Art Auction Gala and bidding on "not just art", but an experience with one of Hawk's terrific teachers.

Seeing a teacher outside of school to a child is like spotting a celebrity on the street!  Give your child the opportunity to enjoy a little quality time with his/her classroom “rock star” before or after school with the books and pencils aside!  Check out these fun activities that some of Hawk’s wonderful teachers are offering…

Mini-Golf or Bowling with Mr. Rosa: Pro-athletes don’t hold a candle to Hawk’s sports expert Mr. Rosa.  No one knows running and jumping and hitting and throwing quite like he does—just ask your child!  Who better than to enjoy a round of mini-golf with or a few frames of bowling?!  Bid on a round of mini-golf or bowling with Mr. Rosa and give your child and his/her friend a memorable afternoon with a dedicated sports fan that never takes a season off!

Art Lessons by Mrs. Carr: Foster your child’s inner-artist by giving him/her the opportunity work alongside Hawk’s resident artist Mrs. Carr during two 30-minute private art lessons before school.  During the sessions, Mrs. Carr will teach your child techniques and encourage his/her expression through the power of art.

Five 20-Minute Recorder Lessons by Mrs. Allesee:  Picture this. Your child picks up a recorder and is able to play real music, a whole song, not just NOISE!  This can be a reality thanks to Hawk’s music extraordinaire Mrs. Allessee who is offering five 20-minute private recorder lessons before school.  So uncover those ears and let your child play.  With Mrs. Allessee’s help, your child’s loud blowing will make the sweet sounds of song in no time.  Now that’s music to your ears!

Pizza and Wii Tournament with Mrs. Totaro and Mrs. Yi: Pizza-making coupled with a Wii tournament is a dream evening for most children.  Not having to clean up the pizza mess (think shredded cheese and marinara sauce!) or listen to beeps of the video game is a dream for most parents! Thanks to Mrs. Totaro and Mrs. Yi your child and a few friends can enjoy pizza and Wii and you can enjoy a few hours of peace and quiet! Two for the price of one!

And there's MORE......

Bid on some fantastic items, such as:
- a signed Eli Manning Football and a signed Rangers card
- tickets to Carnegie Hall, the State Theatre and Red Bulls Soccer
